In December 2019, the Impairment Emulator customized by Wenrise Technology for a research institute in Xi'an that can realize any inter-port damage was officially put into use.This system is used to provide a network simulation environment for verifying the performance of the system under test under adverse network conditions.The system under test had 48 end hosts, and the impairment simulation system was required to create a specified network impairment between any two hosts.

A compromised link can be formed between any terminals

According to the above characteristics, it can be seen that the number of damage simulation links required in the project is large, and the data exchange capability between each impairment port is required, and the network damage meters currently on the market cannot meet the above requirements.

In order to meet the relevant needs put forward by the project, Wenrise Technology combined with existing product technology to customize and develop WS1012, a network damage simulation device with 12 damage links on a single machine, and a cascade supporting system for equipment that can meet customer needs, providing customers with a complete set of high-port density point-to-point Impairment Emulator with data exchange capabilities.

After a series of verifications, the multi-port network impairment simulation system fully meets the customer's requirements for generating impairment traffic between any two terminals, which plays an indispensable role in verifying and improving the performance of the system under test in a non-ideal network environment, and also provides an efficient test environment for the subsequent research and development of the same type of system.The project was successfully delivered a few days ago.
