Wenrise Technology launched a redundant link network card based on FPGA

In April 2019, Wenrise Technology launched WN204 (Redundant Link Network Card), which is based on FPGA design and adopts innovative technology to shorten the switching time of the primary and secondary links to less than 1 millisecond, greatly improving the reliability of the system.

The WN204 has four Ethernet ports, divided into two independent groups of dual redundant links, each of which is a 1+1 hot backup.When the primary link fails, the line card automatically switches to the backup link without host participation, which greatly shortens the switching time and reduces the number of packet loss during the link switchover process.The network card is widely used in various servers, computers, industrial computers and custom devices, etc., and supports common operating systems such as Window and Linux.Two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are reserved between the network card and the host, which can do data encryption or function expansion, and can also be customized according to customer needs.

The launch of WN204has changed the high latency and uncontrollability caused by the traditional dual-link redundant network card switching links through the operating system, greatly improving the reliability of the network system, and has been recognized by customers.
